The Classic Interior Design Approach
STEP 1: inquiry
The clients sends project information to Caroline Kopp Interior Design (via the Contact page). The Getting Started PDF is sent for review to the client — this details the pricing structure and process. Caroline Kopp calls to discuss the project in greater detail, with attention given to budget and timing.
STEP 2: On-site Consultation
All projects begin with a two hour on-site working meeting that is intended to provide a full overview of the scope and mandate of the job. This meeting also allows for an opportunity to review any questions regarding the design process, contract, etc.
STEP 3: Commitment
Signing of agreement, receipt of retainer, and commencement of project.
Step 4: Survey & Final criteria meeting
Caroline Kopp Interior Design evaluates the condition of the space and takes and records measurements. If the project involves construction, plans are reviewed and meetings held with the architect and builder to ensure that all functional and stylistic requirements will be met.
Step 5: Presentation
Caroline Kopp Interior Design presents a comprehensive design plan that includes floor plans, photos, fabrics, paint samples, materials samples, and other sources of inspiration. Depending on the scale of the project this presentation may be held as one meeting or over a series of meetings. Caroline Kopp Interior Design will make adjustments based on client feedback and form a final design plan.
Step 6: Implementation
Upon approval and payment, Caroline Kopp Interior Design begins ordering all the items while working diligently to ensure that the project is on schedule. If the project involves construction, Caroline Kopp will make regular site visits and be available to answer questions from the builder.
Step 7: Installation & Accessorizing
Upon completion of construction and receipt of all furniture to the receiving warehouse, Caroline Kopp Interior Design manages the installation. The last layer of accessories, personal pieces, and art is installed with a professional team of installers led by Caroline Kopp.
